Pagans send their time or much as possible outside. Mother Nature or Mother Earth is the true Goddess. Pagans do not fall for the Global warming because they spend their time with mother that they know she has moods( changes and movements). The Native American and Mecca Indians follow her so much that they knew when to start planting or when to hunt. Beside camping and getting away from daily life and into the woods, They spend time talking and listen to Mother Nature. People have called her as Gala. But if you love nature you are halfway on your way toward a pathway.Remember that stone I ask you to pick up- do you give it a name yet? or did you ask it why I ask you to pick it up? Well give it a name, sing to it, talk to it and make it your best friend. That is a simple introduction to Mother Nature. Different leaders of the major religions have found that being in nature help them-Jesus by the river,Buddha under a tree, Mose by a burning bush and Mohammed sleeping in a cave -they all out side got visions and found enlightenment and taught.
Getting to know her is simple as these points- study all you can and spend time with her the more you do the more you will learn about the world and of yourself!
When you started learning lessons from her you should write them down. What lesson would you learn.
- That silence is powerful
- that earth is abundant
- everything moves in cycles
- diversity is healthy
- things always change
- beauty matters
- there ia a wilderness in us
It is logic that we see her as mother would move to protect her- by picking up other people's trash that they drop on her. Reuse plastic stuff.
A Ritual in open communication with Mother Nature
Sat down , deep breath and relax your body and mind
close your eyes and picture her as you see her from space. Think about her
then say
as a drop of water ia part of the ocean
so I am part of earth, my mother
she created me,she nurtures me,
and she will receive when I die
In gratitude I honor her at this time
now bow or sing a song-show a simple act to honor Mother earth
Oh now how much of this do you know?
How to the water get to your tap?
how many days till a full moon?
what is the total rainfall in your town per year?
name edible pants and when do they grow?
which way does winter storms come from in your area?
Where does your garbage go?
how long is the growing season where you are?
name one day of the year in which the shadows are shorter in your town?
