Chapter one

In this first chapter many write about their sacred place or their name change. I have read in books about the Nunnery in which woman go through a changing of clothing and get their hair cut as they become a novace. I hear of coven practice in which they had different things for people to do when join their coven. But as a single practicing wicca I feel that it is a little different and strange. At least in groups you get more of a introduction into your path. I have found there are All Faith Churches in which they do hold to a pagan way. My education to pathways is very big. I find that the more I study religion in general I find there are so much a like.

As for Alters and sacred places that to is done completely different in many pathways. Some have big alter that cover half their livingroom and others like me have a small one in their bedroom window. Sacred places can be your home to the city park or a big building like a church. Some spiritual writtings goes as far as to say these things lay with in your heart or soul. I know that some carry their alter with them on their person at all times like a celtic cross or crystal necklaces.

I have seen some BOS that have written out the complete ritual that a person goes through and how they enter the building or circle with a dagger in their hands. Hold the dagger they would ask for permission to come and and pledge honor by saying they would kill themselves if they did the circle or sacred place wrong.
